Organische Leuchtdioden, auch OLED genannt, sind dünne, filmartige und selbstleuchtende Bauelemente. Sie bestehen aus halbleitenden organischen Materialien und werden vorrangig bei Bildschirmen und Displays verwendet. Neuerdings werden Sie auch in DSL Routern mit Displays eingesetzt.Der Vorteil ist ein hoher Kontrast bei geringem Energieverbrauch.
